Thank God for Grandmas, Good Friends, and Credit Cards

Well, we got the kids in school and Matt and I took off across the country as soon as possible!  Actually, our good friends got married in Pennsylvania and we were lucky enough to be able to go, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa watching the kids (and the ever-willingness of credit card companies to finance such adventures).  At first I was only going to send Matt (enter my neurotic thoughts: Can we leave after just getting back into town from vacation?  Can we really leave our kids after they just started school? What if they need me? Do we have enough money to goof off summer?) but then I couldn't remember when the last time was that Matt and I went somewhere by ourselves, so we took off on a semi-spontaneous trip across the county to Tom and Noel's wedding.

We went to Pennsylvania via Washington DC where our good friends Garrett and Katherine live, and spent the day doing a whirlwind tour of the national monuments before driving together to the wedding. Garrett and Katherine took us around DC at night and it was amazing! I was so glad I decided to go with Matt, we had such a great time laughing and celebrating with our friends, I would have been so disappointed to miss out.  Thank you Mom and Dad (for watching the littles), friends (for letting us stay with you and for all the fun and laughs), (and credit cards, I guess) for such a great weekend!

Matt and I think we live at the White House

The Lincoln Memorial is AMAZING at night
