The Gauntlet

Our friends talked Matt and I into running a race together, well actually they convinced us to run with them on teams (husbands vs wives).  My friend Katy was the instigator...she helped organize the race as a benefit for Special Olympics.  She and her construction buddies (Western Colorado Contractors Association) put together a great race course out at the Grand Junction Motor Speedway with all kinds of obstacles including 2 mud pits.   It was great!  2 mud pits, the powdered donut (crawling through tractor tires while someone throws cups of flour on you), pipe crawls, mudslides, etc.  She really did a great job and raised a lot of money- she expected about 100 people to show up, but over 450 showed up!
I can't believe Matt actually ran a race - 2 miles + obstacles- I don't even know him anymore!  Who is this man I'm married to?  I never thought I would ever see the day that Matt willingly ran 2 miles for fun!  I wonder if I can talk him into more...
