Sushi Anyone?

We hosted a sushi making party a while back-soooo fun!  We rolled, we ate, we drank, we enjoyed!  It was so easy (after some instruction from the oriental food market owner) and I want to do it again soon!

I started with sushi rice (thank you Nate and Mollie), then added 3 Tbsp of seasoned rice vinegar per cup of the cooked rice and mixed it together while the rice was still warm, and let it cool to room temp.  Then we had tuna, crab (the fake stuff, which we then mixed with japanese mayo and sriracha hot sauce to taste), avacados, cream cheese, spinach, cucumber, red peppers, green onions, anything we wanted to fill our rolls with.  I had some bamboo mats for rolling, nori (or seaweed wraps), the rice, and then all the above fixin's.  We all filled our rolls however we wanted and then shared.   Of course we also had little cups of soy sauce for dipping, and wasabi and pickled ginger.  Here are some pics of our evening...

Matt was an expert roller- who knew?
