Our littlest one turned 4 on Nov 3rd. I have yet to throw her a party for her birthday, outside of having Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner and cake, so this year was exciting and nerve wracking at the same time as I tried to imagine all these little girls inside my house. The weather for Jacob's birthday parties has been consistently nice enough to have everyone outside, but can you really plan for an outside party in Nov??? Lucky for me, this fall has been beautiful and we were able to be outside - so my fears of having lots of little girls all at Libby's volume (maximum) inside my house were put to rest, especially after I found out what kind of birthday party she wanted to have...
Me: "Libby, what kind of birthday party would you like to have?" Libby:"A Star Wars party, a Padme Amidala party". Jacob: "Oh good, the Jedi can come!" Libby (with a strait face): "NO Jedi".
I guess she conceded on the Jedi, as they are good friends with Padme :) For her party, her Jedi padawan guests had to complete a Jedi training course (walking a balance beam, shooting targets with nerf guns, pinning the lightsaber on Yoda) and of course "bedazzling" their own lightsabers. Needless to say, I was thankful for a near 70 degree day!
