Libby Telling the Easter Story
Libby made this Easter box at school yesterday, and came home able to tell us the Easter story!
Egg 1 - a cracker represents the last supper
Egg 2 - a coin represents the silver coins Judas received for betraying Jesus
Egg 3 - a piece of rope represents the rope the soldiers used to bind Jesus's hands when they arrested Him
Egg 4 - purple cloth represents royalty and the taunting Jesus faced for calling himself king
Egg 5 - a thorn for the prickly crown placed on Jesus's head
Egg 6 - a cross represents the one Jesus died on so we could be forgiven
Egg 7 - a nail for the nails they used to hang Jesus on the cross
Egg 8 - a piece of sponge, reminding us of the vinegar given to Jesus when he asked for water
Egg 9 - a spear represents the piercing of Jesus's side
Egg 10 - a piece of gauze represents the burial cloth
Egg 11 - a stone represents the tombstone rolled away by the angel
Egg 12 - empty for the empty tomb!
